best vegan breakfast in the city. people working are always extremely kind. Awesome neighborly atmosphere with delicious vegan rotating donut flavors. gluten free options as well. seriously cant go wrong.
very friendly staff. excellent decor and aesthetic. if you don't like star wars go be a star bore somewhere else
Great experience, and best vegan breakfast sandwich I ever had (by the way the vegan bacon is no different than the regular bacon we all love!) Oh, did I mention the vegan donuts were also some the best I have run across. Oh, I almost forgot their coffee was great, and a super Pittsburgh experience if you are not from here. If you are not vegan, no problem as everything can be made for you too.
It was great to be able to get a vegan option at a decent price. It's always a challenge to find a breakfast please that has both vegetarian and vegan options at a price that isn't like $50 for 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches. My boyfriend loved his vegan blt and I loved my veggie sandwich. The vegan bacon was great! Since we live out of the state, we were both sad we didn't order an extra sandwich to go. If you're visiting or just lucky enough to live near here, check it out!
Outstanding iced chai! They make their own almond, oat, and cashew milk. I got the iced cashew chai and it was super good! The chai is the Oolong concentrate from Say When. Also had a great vegetarian banh mi. Love the Star Wars vibes.
Going to this cafe was definitely a trip. Located in the Polish Hill neighbourhood, It’s a one off cafe surrounded by lot of residential buildings. I had been meaning to go here for a long time, but then the lack of public transport options from my home made it a deterrent. When I arrived, I was the only one in the cafe, but it filled up pretty quickly. I could sense that this was a neighbourhood cafe because almost everybody who came in made conversations with the owners and seemed to know them. The interior is rather simple and scrappy. They were room at the back if you want a little bit of peace and quiet, but I prefer to sit in the main area because I was working and I needed a power outlet and they did not have a lot of those to be honest. I put it in a category of cafes where you go to grab a coffee and chat and not necessarily work. There are plenty of better options if you want to work from a cafe, but they a lot of time lack the soul which this place has. They also known for their vegan options, but I wasn’t feeling particularly vegan, so I just got the regular stuff. I got the cappuccino, which was how cappuccino should be and very well-made. I also got the BLT as I was pretty hungry, and they apparently also have a vegan bacon which I’m very curious as to how it tastes, but I did not want to try it this particular morning. The BLT was extremely delicious. it was very simply made with fresh tomatoes, good lettuce, and most importantly, very good bread. They were no fancy ingredients, but the simplicity of the BLT and the quality of the ingredients made it stand out. I would definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
Some of the best vegan food I’ve had! I loved the vegan BLT and the vegan bacon was the best. Great texture and flavor there I also had an amazing iced London Fog with cashew milk and the maple coconut donut. I really recommend coming here even if you’re not a vegan as they have meat options as well
Quaint little coffee shop nestled in the hills of a residential neighborhood. Small front porch with outdoor seating, coffee bar, some interior seating and a back room with a bathroom and larger table. Cool Star Wars decor and delicious vegan sandwiches. Vegan donuts were delicious!
I am allergic to eggs and this is the only place that has an egg replacement (tofu) that makes a sandwich that is just as good as real egg. the staff are all hilarious and so friendly. they also make the best mocha in pittsburgh… maybe even the world… the vegan pastries don’t even taste vegan 🙌🙌
Breakfast sandwiches are incredible! Also the coffee here was really good (Lattes & matcha). Coffee & sandwich were less than $15 with tip. Inside vibes are a fun sort of punk vibes with great Star Wars accents—“Han shot first.” Would definitely recommend!
